When I first started with Physical Aimz fitness in 2007 I was unfit, overweight, unmotivated and lethargic. I had more excuses than you could poke an Olympic bar at, primarily that I suffered from severe asthma and as such could not run for extended periods of time. After hearing great things from other people I finally got off the couch and began doing one session a week down at Eastern Beach. I became very quickly motivated by Amy’s unique style and soon was attending 2 sessions a week. I could really feel the improvements to my fitness and my asthma and soon began to see the results evident by my weight loss.
Since joining I lost 25kg over a 24 month period and have never looked back. I have managed to keep all that weight off by continuing to train at least 3 times a week and sometimes 5!
The other benefits of Physical Aimz fitness are just as important to me;
Nutrition advice: as well as providing the training space and programs the team are very good at helping you with any nutritional questions you might have.
Time Management: because the classes are always at set times during the week this makes it easier to plan your life around the training schedule, giving you less excuses for “life” getting in the way of your health.
Social benefits: through Physical Aimz I have met a great bunch of people who I now hang out with on a social basis, seeing these guys and being a part of their journey to fitness adds extra motivation to get to each session.
Achieving your dreams: If you had of asked me in 2007 whether I would ever run a half marathon I would have laughed at you and said there was more chance of me climbing Mount Everest. However Amy helped me set that goal and then more importantly gave me the motivation and advice to achieve it. I now plan to run a full marathon later this year, and then next who knows…perhaps Everest!?
To this day I really can’t thank Amy and the team enough for how I live my life today and for the future ahead.
Life is best lived healthy, enjoy it.
