All of my active pastimes have required a level of fitness that would allow me to perform.
From skateboarding to mountain bike riding, generally I would be a long way from home when I was fatigued and I had to dig deep to make my way back. I knew early that the more I pushed through, the easier it was the next time.
This was my addiction, pushing my body hard and enjoying my activities more every time I went out.
I feel the same about exercise , so being able to combine high intensity training with weightlifting and strongman style workouts opened my eyes to an exciting, addictive and beneficial way to stay in shape.
I love to see people doing things they initially told me they couldn’t/wouldn’t do. Seeing them transition mechanically and physically into healthier, more efficient beings is really exciting to watch and be a part of.
Running fun, intense, high energy group training classes and watching everybody push each other to become stronger and faster is one thing, hearing them tell me individually how this translates into a more active lifestyle and that their productivity in everyday activities has improved dramatically is extremely rewarding.
Qualifications
Certificate 3 & 4 in fitness instruction and personal training
Olympic weightlifting certified coach
Experienced Bootcamp and group fitness instructor
